I started Homestead Exchange Network because I was looking for a homestead myself — and I couldn't find a single site that verified its people. Plenty of listings. Zero verification. I never knew what I'd be walking into, and I wasn't willing to waste my money and time finding out the hard way.

I'd heard too many stories from good people who got taken advantage of — money lost, promises that evaporated the moment they arrived, situations that turned frightening. It happens to homesteaders, and it happens to landowners too.

Everyone deserves to know where they're going and who they're meeting. To know that someone's words match their actions — on both sides of the fence.

So this is a community built on honesty and respect, where every member is verified and references are actually checked. That's also why membership costs money: real verification takes real time and money, and a serious community keeps everyone safer.
